CAREY — The Wyandot Sports Hall of Fame’s Robby Lee Memorial golf outing is Saturday at Bob’s Countryside Golf Course, Carey. The four-person scramble includes 18 holes with a cart plus lunch. Cash prizes are awarded.

Balanced Carey tops Riverdale

CAREY — Carey posted four scores in the 40s to take a 176-198 victory against Riverdale in a non-conference boys golf dual match Friday at Bob’s Countryside Golf Course. Ethan Tanner led the Blue Devils (1-0) with a 41, followed by a 43 from McKain Miller.

WILLARD — Brett Montgomery earned medalist honors and Upper Sandusky was nipped by Genoa for the team championship in the lightning-shortened Willard Invitational on Friday at Willard Golf Club. Both the Rams and Comets shot a 167, but Genoa won the championship based on a 47-49 fifth-player advantage. Willard took third with a 176.

Koons tops the field in Seneca East Invite

TIFFIN — Kyle Koons earned tournament medalist honors to lead Wynford to a third-place finish Thursday in the Seneca East Invitational boys golf tournament at Seneca Hills Golf Course. Fremont St. Joseph won with a 333-341 advantage over host Seneca East, with the Royals finishing with a 351 team score.

GALION — The Wynford girls golf team opened Northern 10 Athletic Conference play with a 242-262 victory against Colonel Crawford on Thursday at Valley View Golf Course. The Royals’ Caity Schiefer earned medalist honors with a 58, while Abby Underwood and Kassidy Stanford were right behind with scores of 60 and 61, respectively. Emily Rudd added a 63.
