USHS to have senior citizens volleyball night

The Upper Sandusky High School Athletic Department has announced Oct. 3 will be Senior Citizen Night as Upper Sandusky battles Seneca East in junior varsity and varsity volleyball. USHS selling sports passes

Upper Sandusky all-sport passes are available for the 2018-19 school year. These passes allow people to attend all Upper Sandusky High School and Upper Sandusky Middle School home athletic contests, excluding tournaments and the Swankhouse Invitational track and field meet.

N10 sets ticket prices this year

The Northern 10 Athletic Conference has announced ticket prices for the 2018-19 school year. Varsity admission is $6 for adults and $5 for kindergarten through 12th grade students. Junior varsity, freshman and junior high admission is $4 for adults and $3 for students.

Edison holds off Upper Sandusky, 1-0

Connor Romell’s goal with 28:26 left in the first half stood as the only one in the match as Edison won a defensive battle against Upper Sandusky, 1-0, in boys soccer action Tuesday night. The teams combined for only nine shots on goal – six by the Chargers (1-1).

Eagles win tight sets, open with N10 sweep

Anna Johnson finished with 10 kills, but Upper Sandusky was swept by Colonel Crawford, 25-20, 25-22, 26-24, in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference volleyball match Tuesday night. Johnson was 20-of-22 hitting, while Kenedi Hayden had five kills and 16 digs and went 9-of-10 serving with three aces.

Riverdale 2nd in BVC tri

FINDLAY — Andrew Kuenzli medaled as Riverdale split a Blanchard Valley Conference tri-match Tuesday at Red Hawk Run Golf Course. Kuenzli shot a 37, but Van Buren posted the four next-best scores to top Riverdale, 156-194. North Baltimore shot a 202.

Clifford leads undefeated Rams again

BUCYRUS — Even without its top golfer, the Upper Sandusky boys team won its eighth consecutive match with a 169-179 victory over Ridgedale on Tuesday at New Winchester Golf Course. The Rams (8-0, 3-0 Northern 10 Athletic Conference) were led by Trevor Clifford, who shot a 40, and Owen Knapp, who finished with an overall score of 42.

Rudd helps Wynford top Upper Sandusky, Willard

BUCYRUS — Wynford improved to 5-0 in the Northern 10 Athletic Conference and upped its overall record to 9-2 by defeating Upper Sandusky and Willard in a girls golf match Tuesday at The Golf Club of Bucyrus. The Royals topped the Crimson Flashes, 202-211, with the Rams finishing at 246.

St. Peter’s tops Upper, 1-0

MANSFIELD — Julia Rizzo scored a first-half goal on a direct kick, and that stood for Mansfield St. Peter’s to take a 1-0 victory against Upper Sandusky in a nonconference girls soccer match Tuesday. Rizzo’s goal came less than 12 minutes into the match, which did not see another goal over the final 58-plus minutes.

Consistent Royals top CC

GALION — Wynford had consistent scores throughout the lineup in taking a 184-216 victory against Colonel Crawford in Northern 10 Athletic Conference boys golf play Tuesday at Valley View Golf Course. Logen Sand, Kayleb Keaton and Mitch Zaebst all shared medalist honors with 45s.
