Warriors sweep for the 4th straight win

SYCAMORE — Mohawk pushed its winning streak to four with a 25-23, 25-18, 25-13 victory against Seneca East on Thursday night. Emily Conner had nine kills, and Destini Oler finished with eight kills and 10 digs to lead the Warriors (6-2, 5-1 Northern 10 Athletic Conference).

Bucks top Royals in N10 match

BUCYRUS — Josh Dentinger shot a 46 to earn medalist honors and lead Buckeye Central to a 191-205 victory against Wynford in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference golf match Thursday at The Golf Club of Bucyrus. Jack Reed led the Royals (3-10, 0-7 N10) with a 49, while Logen Sand and Mitchell Zaebst both had 50s.

Liberty-Benton edges Upper by 1 goal

FINDLAY — Lupe Landaverde had a goal and an assist, but it was not enough for Upper Sandusky to hold a halftime lead at Liberty-Benton on Thursday. The Eagles scored twice in the second half to defeat the Rams, 3-2, in a North Central Ohio Soccer Association match.

Riverdale explodes for 6 goals in final 48 minutes

MOUNT BLANCHARD — For the first 32 minutes of Wednesday night’s girls North Central Ohio Soccer Association match, Ada kept Riverdale at bay. Outside of Hannah Morris drilling the crossbar with a shot, every Riverdale scoring chance ended with a save by Rielyn Castle or a defensive stop by the Bulldogs, many of which were by freshman Ruth Pfeiffer.

Pauley leads Falcons to BVC sweep

RAWSON — Riverdale won each set by only two points but it was good enough to sweep Cory-Rawson, 26-24, 25-23, 25-23, on Wednesday evening. Carrol Pauley led the Falcons (3-4, 1-1 Blanchard Valley Conference) with 10 kills on 18-of-21 hitting, and she added two aces, two assists and eight digs.

Pickett leads Riverdale in BVC tri-match

ARLINGTON — Mason Pickett shot a 52 to lead Riverdale in a Blanchard Valley Conference tri-match Thursday at Sycamore Springs Golf Course. Hopewell-Loudon won with a 191-217 advantage over Leipsic, while Riverdale finished with a 250.

Kenton YMCA having tourney

KENTON — The Hardin County Family YMCA is hosting a men’s “Around the Horn” one-pitch softball tournament Sept. 24-25 at the Home Run Memorial Park Little League fields on Ohio 292 in Kenton. The cost is $175 per team. Rosters should have 10-15 players with no changes permitted once play begins.
