The Blue Devils (13-1, 6-1 N10) are tied with Ridgedale (6-1 N10) and a half-game ahead of Mohawk (5-1 N10) with Seneca East (5-2 N10) a game back.

RAWSON — Cory-Rawson made the most of its chances and handed Upper Sandusky its first loss, 3-1, in a girls North Central Ohio Soccer Association match Tuesday. The Hornets (4-3, 1-2 NCOSA) took advantage of their four shots on goal by converting three of them into goals.

SYCAMORE — Emily Conner had nine kills and six blocks to lead Mohawk to a 25-15, 25-11, 25-8 victory against Upper Sandusky in Northern 10 Athletic Conference play Tuesday night. Addie Thiery and Destini Oler added seven kills each for the Warriors (8-2, 6-1 N10).

ATTICA — Wynford put an end to its six-match losing streak by beating Seneca East, 25-22, 25-19, 18-25, 25-18, on Tuesday night. Lainey Holman paced the Royals (3-7, 3-3 N10) with 13 kills on 28-of-29 hitting, while Tara Zinser had nine kills on 20-of-22 hitting.

MILAN — Upper Sandusky seemed headed for its second loss, but it won three matches in three sets to top Edison, 3-2, in a girls tennis match Monday. The Rams (9-1) dropped a pair of two-set matches for an early deficit, but they earned victories in the other three matches.

TIFFIN — Trey Bame and Chase Wagner shared medalist honors with 37s as Carey topped New Riegel, 154-180, in a non-conference golf match Monday at Seneca Hills Golf Course. Marcus Miller shot a 38 to finish just one stroke behind the co-medalists, and Alex Kimmet contributed a 42.

LIMA — Brett Montgomery and Turner Dilley were co-medalists as Upper Sandusky won a non-conference tri-match with a 166 to beat Lima Temple Christian (173) and Ottoville (194) on Monday at Bluffton Golf Club.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Carrol Pauley smashed 16 kills Monday and assisted on eight others as Riverdale rolled past Vanlue, 25-19, 25-14, 25-17, to move back to .500 on the season. Pauley was a perfect 33-of-33 hitting and went 31-of-31 setting.

MORRAL — Sydney Kin fired 17 kills on 25-of-26 hitting and added six blocks as Carey rolled to a 25-10, 25-12, 25-9 victory against Ridgedale on Monday. Hannah Zimmerman had six kills, and Jessica Johnson was 13-of-13 serving with four aces and six digs.

COLUMBUS — Ohio State’s offense did enough damage last week against Bowling Green for two games. So, the Buckeyes defense made sure to do its part in its second contest of the season against Tulsa on Saturday.
