MANSFIELD — Upper Sandusky’s boys and girls each won the Mansfield Friendly House invite Thursday. The girls were handy winners over Madison, 113-54, and the boys also topped Madison 111-55.

BUCYRUS — Confidence means a lot in basketball, and right now Beth Dundore and the Mohawk girls basketball team have it. Dundore buried five 3-pointers and scored 17 points to lead the Warriors to their second straight win, 39-20, at Wynford on Thursday night.

You could say Abigail Fogle was feeling it Thursday night. The junior sharpshooter made nine 3-pointers in Upper Sandusky’s 71-46 win over Seneca East.

VANLUE — Four players reached double figures as Riverdale easily handled Vanlue in girls Blanchard Valley Conference action Thursday evening. The Falcons (5-3, 2-2 BVC) ran away with the game, nearly tripling Vanlue’s (2-5, 0-4 BVC) point total, 71-24.

MARION — Upper Sandusky’s boys and girls were winners in a multi-team meet hosted by Mount Gilead Wednesday at the Marion YMCA. The Rams girls scored 424 points, with Kenton second with 364 points among 10 scoring teams.

Upper Sandusky wrestlers had six pins in 45-27 dual victory against rival Carey on Tuesday evening. The Rams only had an 8-6 advantage in wins, but they scored the full six points in seven matches, including one forfeit, while the Blue Devils had only two pins, allowing Upper Sandusky to win comfortably.

NEW WASHINGTON — Area schools have been put on notice: Jeff Winslow has a full roster at his disposal. In Wes Vent’s first appearance after a six-game absence for a team rules violation, Upper Sandusky throttled Buckeye Central, 71-37.

CAREY — Ugly or not, Carey won for the third time in four games with a 64-52 victory against Wynford on Tuesday night. Cody Luzader had 23 points and six rebounds, and Trey Bame and Garrett Summit added 14 and 13 points, respectively, as the Blue Devils remained in second place in the Northern 10 Athletic Conference.

BUCYRUS — Mohawk rallied from 10 down in the final two-plus minutes, but Bucyrus hit three free throws in the final 30 seconds to come away with its first win, 49-46, on Tuesday night. The Redmen (1-4, 1-2 Northern 10 Athletic Conference) held a 10-point lead with barely more than two minutes remaining before the Warriors (1-4, 1-3 N10) came back to tie the game at 46 with 38 seconds left.

The Wyandot Sports Hall of Fame recently announced its 2017 class to be inducted the evening of April 15 at the Masters’ Building at the Wyandot County Fairgrounds. Inductees include Dan Bogard, Sycamore High School; Cloyce D. Wentling, Carey; Steve Trout, Riverdale; Roxie Karg, Upper Sandusky; Tom Schreck, Wynford; James Dillion, Harpster; and The 1965-66 and 1966-67 Carey boys basketball teams.
