Dundore sparks Warriors past Royals

BUCYRUS — Confidence means a lot in basketball, and right now Beth Dundore and the Mohawk girls basketball team have it. Dundore buried five 3-pointers and scored 17 points to lead the Warriors to their second straight win, 39-20, at Wynford on Thursday night.

Falcons put 4 in double figures in rout

VANLUE — Four players reached double figures as Riverdale easily handled Vanlue in girls Blanchard Valley Conference action Thursday evening. The Falcons (5-3, 2-2 BVC) ran away with the game, nearly tripling Vanlue’s (2-5, 0-4 BVC) point total, 71-24.

Luzader scores 23 as Carey tops Wynford

CAREY — Ugly or not, Carey won for the third time in four games with a 64-52 victory against Wynford on Tuesday night. Cody Luzader had 23 points and six rebounds, and Trey Bame and Garrett Summit added 14 and 13 points, respectively, as the Blue Devils remained in second place in the Northern 10 Athletic Conference.

Warriors rally to tie game late, but Redmen prevail

BUCYRUS — Mohawk rallied from 10 down in the final two-plus minutes, but Bucyrus hit three free throws in the final 30 seconds to come away with its first win, 49-46, on Tuesday night. The Redmen (1-4, 1-2 Northern 10 Athletic Conference) held a 10-point lead with barely more than two minutes remaining before the Warriors (1-4, 1-3 N10) came back to tie the game at 46 with 38 seconds left.

WHSOF announces 2017 class to be inducted April 15

The Wyandot Sports Hall of Fame recently announced its 2017 class to be inducted the evening of April 15 at the Masters’ Building at the Wyandot County Fairgrounds. Inductees include Dan Bogard, Sycamore High School; Cloyce D. Wentling, Carey; Steve Trout, Riverdale; Roxie Karg, Upper Sandusky; Tom Schreck, Wynford; James Dillion, Harpster; and The 1965-66 and 1966-67 Carey boys basketball teams.
