Golf sectional suspended by rain GALION — Mohawk appears to be a lock to advance to district tournament play with a 338 during Division III sectional play that was suspended before all teams finished Thursday at Valley View Golf Course. The Warriors, Wynford and Seneca East, playing in the same group, were the only teams who had all five of their golfers complete their rounds before thunderstorms hit the area. Tricky goal gives Falcons win ADA — With the scored tied 0-0 and 10 minutes left in its game against Ada, the Riverdale soccer team delved into its bag of tricks on Thursday night. During a free kick on the left side from about 15 yards away from the Ada net, two Riverdale players approached the ball as if they were going to put a foot on it, before Coby Miller placed a cross pass in front of the net that Josh Hunter was able to head past Ada keeper Ace Gamble for the game’s only goal as Falcons claimed 1-0 North Central Ohio Soccer Association victory.
