The Upper Sandusky Middle School competition cheerleading team finished second Friday at the Attica Fair and second Saturday at Elmwood, where there were 44 teams participating.

Miller, Wagner lead Carey past Riverdale

ARLINGTON — Marcus Miller shot a 41, and teammate Chase Wagner was right behind with a 42 to lead the Carey golf team to a 175-235 victory against Riverdale on Tuesday at Sycamore Springs Golf Course. Alex Kimmet scored a 45, and Trey Bame added a 47 for the Blue Devils (3-0).

Top putter in subregional featured

Jacob Beaschler, 11, of rural Nevada, competed in the subregional qualifier of the 2015 Drive, Chip and Putt competition at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin last Saturday. He received a gold medal for first place in the putting competition.
