Falcons offense goes cold

MOUNT BLANCHARD — It was one of those nights for the Riverdale Falcons where the lid wouldn’t come off the basket. After the Cory-Rawson Hornets jumped out to an early lead, the Falcons tried to shoot their way back into the contest to no avail.

Kin leads Carey past Bucyrus

BUCYRUS — Sydney Kin had 26 points and 10 rebounds to power Carey to a 64-36 win in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference game at Bucyrus on Friday. Sydney Ferguson and Bry Curlis each added 11 points.

St. Paul 2 tied for 1st

FOREST — St. Paul Lutheran Church 2 won 7-1 and 4-1 with a 5-1 loss in between against Heritage Christian Union on Thursday evening, good enough to move it into a first-place tie in the Wyandot County Dartball League.

Lady Rams alumnae game nets $4,700

The Upper Sandusky eighth grade class hosted the 2017 Lady Rams Alumnae basketball game Jan. 29 to help raise funds for the annual class trip to Washington, D.C., and Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The Upper Sandusky High School gym was filled with family and friends of 51 Upper Sandusky graduates ranging from 1972 to 2016.

USHS girls to play Feb. 25

The Upper Sandusky High School girls basketball team will play the winner of Norwalk and Clear Fork in the sectional final of the girls basketball tournament at 8 p.m. Feb. 25 at Monroeville High School. Ticket prices are $6 for adults and $4 for students.

USMS hosting wrestling event

Upper Sandusky Middle School, 390 W. Walker St., will host the Cory Washburn Memorial wrestling tournament at 10 a.m. March 19. Proceeds will go to the eighth grade class trip to Washington, D.C.
