Safety blotter: July 16, 2019

The Ohio State Highway Patrol transferred a call about a possible reckless driver at Love’s Travel Mart the early morning of July 14. The responding officer located the vehicle as it was pulling out of Love’s and was unable to observe any driving issues.

Safety blotter: July 15, 2019

Officers responded to a fire alarm at Fairhaven the early morning of July 12. No fire was observed and the scene was secured by the fire department. An officer on patrol observed a disabled vehicle on the 1500 block of East Wyandot Avenue the afternoon of July 12. The driver advised the vehicle’s transmission was out and a tow truck was on the way.

Upper Sandusky Police Department An officer transported an Upper Sandusky man home from the Wyandot Memorial Hospital emergency room the early morning of July 10. An officer assisted Wyandot County EMS with a medical emergency on the 400 block of West Walker Street the early morning of July 10.

Safety blotter: July 10, 2019

Troy E. Landrum, Upper Sandusky, was arrested for domestic violence on the 300 block of West Church Street the morning of July 9. Anne M. Barger, Marion, was arrested on a warrant out of Upper Sandusky Municipal Court the morning of July 9.

Safety blotter: July 9, 2019

Willie T. Thomas, Wooster, was charged with OVI following a traffic stop on U.S. 30 eastbound near CH 128 the early morning of July 8. A probable cause search of the vehicle located marijuana, marijuana paraphernalia and loaded firearms. The Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office took over the scene upon arrival because of jurisdiction.

Safety blotter: July 6, 2019

An officer was flagged down on the 300 block of South Sandusky Avenue for a report of suspicious persons near the railroad tracks on Crawford Street the early morning of July 4. The officer was unable to locate the persons. An officer responded to an alarm at Amvets the morning of July 4. The alarm was set off by employee error.

Safety blotter: July 5, 2019

The Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office advised of a reckless driver heading westbound on East Wyandot Avenue near Dollar General the morning of July 3. The responding officer was unable to locate the vehicle. An officer on patrol located a disabled semi-tractor trailer on North Sandusky Avenue at Church Street the morning of July 3. The driver of the vehicle advised he was lost and the officer gave him directions for his destination.

Safety blotter: July 3, 2019

Jeremy Rowe, Bucyrus, was cited for operating a vehicle while under the influence of drugs and for expired registration the early morning of July 2. Rowe also was cited with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and a passenger in the car was advised that a report would be submitted to the juvenile prosecutors for possession of marijuana less than 100 grams and a curfew violation.
