A deputy transported Kristina Halm from the Crawford County Jail to the Wyandot County Jail the evening of Aug. 6. Michael D. Krieger, Centerville, was picked up the morning of Aug. 7 from the Shelby County Jail on a bench warrant out of Upper Sandusky Municipal Court for failure to comply with a court order.

A caller reported noise on the 300 block of South Sandusky Avenue the early morning of Sept. 4. The responding officer warned an individual that he would be cited if he received another complaint.

A caller reported a vehicle with a broken window at the Quality Inn parking lot the morning of Aug. 31. The responding officer contacted the owner’s husband, who said his wallet had been stolen from the vehicle.

Sheriff Michael R. Hetzel has released his activity report for the month of August:

A caller reported a portable cement mixer in the roadway at South Seventh and South streets the afternoon of Aug. 28. When the responding officer arrived, the owners of the mixer were loading the item back into its trailer, stating the strap used to secure it had broken. No damage was observed.

Following a traffic stop on U.S. 23 the night of July 29, Tasha R. Dombroff, Mansfield, was arrested on a warrant out of Defiance County for failure to appear. During a traffic stop for speed the night of July 29 on U.S. 23 near TH 103, Crawford Township, a passenger, Jaymon E. Dunn, Toledo, was cited for possession of marijuana and a seat belt violation.

An Upper Sandusky woman reported a dead deer in her yard at the 400 block of Raybestos Drive the morning of Aug. 22. The street department was contacted to remove the deer.

Christopher J. Vanatta, Findlay, was cited for failure to move or slow down for an emergency vehicle at U.S. 23/30 and East Wyandot Avenue the early morning of Aug. 21. Leah L. Brugman, Upper Sandusky, was cited for driving under suspension at the 1000 block of North Warpole Street the morning of Aug. 21.

Shawn P. Cain, Bucyrus, was cited for possession of marijuana paraphernalia after a Nevada woman requested a welfare check for him early the morning of July 29.

Dylan A. Arnold, Mount Blanchard, was cited for failure to control after a crash on Ohio 53 at CH 83, Jackson Township, the morning of July 18. He was traveling westbound in a 2003 Ford F-Series truck behind a freightliner driven by Ricky D. Dudte, Ashland, when he struck the freightliner as it was turning onto CH 83.
