While the local General Health District moves forward in the accreditation process, another health district in Ohio that serves an area comparable in size to Wyandot County is one of 13 in Ohio that have completed accreditation.

WASHINGTON — U.S. Congressman Bob Latta will be available for one-on-one meetings with constituents from 2-4 p.m. Aug. 3 in the assembly room at the Wyandot County Courthouse, 109 S. Sandusky Ave., Upper Sandusky.

COLUMBUS — Ohio’s three-day sales tax holiday, created to help parents and teachers save money on back-to-school purchases, is slated for Aug. 5-7. Sales tax will be suspended on clothing, school supplies and instructional materials within certain price ranges.

Regional Growth Partnership, Toledo, introduced Carolyn Rodenhauser during a meeting with the Wyandot County commissioners on Monday. Rodenhauser recently was named a regional talent acquisition manager for the northwest Ohio area under RGP and in conjunction with JobsOhio.

MANSFIELD — Braintree Business Development Center will host a small business workshop, “Bean Counting 101: Understanding your books and your account,” featuring Bill Harvey, of Whitcomb and Hess CPAs, in August. The workshop has two, three-hour sessions from 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 16 and Aug. 23 at Braintree Business Development Center, 201 E. Fifth St., Mansfield.

NEW RIEGEL — Metal Construction News Magazine has named Clouse Construction Corp., New Riegel, one of the top design-build pre-engineered metal builders in America. The magazine listed the New Riegel contractor No. 2 in Ohio and No. 28 in the United States as a top pre-engineered metal builder in 2015.

COLUMBUS — Domino’s stores throughout Ohio will participate in a fundraiser to combat cancer Tuesday. In support of Pelotonia, a grassroots cycling organization that raises money to fight cancer, 175 Domino’s stores located in the greater Columbus, Dayton, Lima, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Toledo areas will donate 10 percent of Tuesday’s sales to the Pelotonia team named “Domino’s for Mike.”

FOSTORIA — The Mennel Milling Company, Fostoria, has reached a tentative agreement with General Mills Inc., Minneapolis, to purchase a bakery mix and packaging facility in Martel, pending the finalization of negotiations.
