Area history buffs received a first-person account about the history of the people that Wyandot County is named after and at the same time learned just how important Upper Sandusky is to that history on Friday night.

SYCAMORE — Valedictorian Nathaniel James Lersch and salutatorian Mercedes Nichole Snyder will lead 68 members of the Mohawk High School class of 2016 during the graduation ceremony at 7 p.m. May 20 in the high school gymnasium.

Two Upper Sandusky residents were among three people arrested after an active methamphetamine lab was found by law enforcement officials at the Parkway Estates mobile home village on North Warpole Street on Friday night.

Wesley S. Efaw, Bucyrus, charged by the state with aggravated menacing, amended plea to no contest, found guilty. Anthony W. Bukovich, Galion, charged by the sheriff with disorderly conduct, pleaded no contest, found guilty.

Linda M. Conley, registrar of vital statistics at the Wyandot County Health Department, reports there were 13 births and 13 deaths in the county during March. Births include five females and eight males; deaths include seven females and six males.
