Three cited for open beers in public park SYCAMORE — Three people will face charges for possession of open containers of alcohol after being found with open beer cans in a community park, according to a report from the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office. Farmers market More than 15 vendors set up at Harrison Smith Park this weekend for the Wyandot County farmers market, which takes place from 9 a.m. to noon every Saturday and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. every Wednesday. Upper youth wins grand champion at Ohio State Fair COLUMBUS – An Upper Sandusky youth won grand champion market barrow at the Ohio State Fair last week and participated in Sunday's sale of champions. Ashton Frey of Wyandot County was listed among the grand champions who took part in the sale that showcases animals selected as the premium entry in their species, according to a press release from the Ohio State Fair. Summer youth workers, job sites honored in annual banquet In June, 27 area juveniles and young adults began the Wyandot County youth training program. When the program concluded recently, 21 of those youth had completed the summer program that took place at different workplaces and worksites. Read More
Commissioners approve placing levies on Nov. ballot The Wyandot County commissioners officially approved placing the renewal of a five-year, half-percent income tax for operational expenses for the sheriff’s office and emergency medical services on the November ballot on Thursday. Read More
