County JFS to receive $40K for children’s services

The Wyandot County Department of Job and Family Services is set to receive state child protective allocation funds, executive director Jason Fagan told the Wyandot County commissioners Thursday. Fagan reported JFS will have a little more than $40,000 in SCPA funds to use to cover administrative costs for the county’s children’s services.

Back-to-school carnival

The back-to-school carnival, which included information and resources from Crawford County agencies, games, a dunk tank and raffles for 30 bicycles, was open to students from the Bucyrus, Wynford and Colonel Crawford public school systems and Wayside Christian School.

Rural Upper Sandusky home damaged in fire

A structure fire caused significant damage to a rural Upper Sandusky residence Thursday afternoon, according to reports from the Upper Sandusky Fire Department and the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office. At 1:47 p.m., the USFD was notified of a fire at the residence of Mark and Sandy Stevens, 13036 TH 60.
