City releases sewer update

Crew No. 1 is in the Star Alley near Johnson Street. Next week, the crew will cross Johnson and head south in the alley behind East of Chicago Pizza Co. and beside Dough Si Dough Shoppe. The crew will continue to the south in the alley to the railroad tracks.

Baby Times deadline Tuesday

Tuesday is the deadline to submit photos for The Daily Chief-Union’s Baby Times. Any baby born in 2016 is eligible. The cost is $12 for a black and white photo and $20 for a color picture. Jackson Twp. family escapes fire

FOREST — No one was injured when fire broke out around a wood burning stove at a Jackson Township home Thursday night. The home sustained significant interior damage, according to Capt. Chad Ward of the Upper Sandusky Fire Department, which responded to the scene along with firefighters from Forest, Marseilles, Pitt Township and Wharton.
