MANSFIELD — Bucyrus artist Sandy Laipply will be taking part in the Richland Carousel Pop Up Mural Showcase to be held from 6-10 p.m. Saturday at the Richland Carousel Park in Mansfield. Artists from the area will be exhibiting their interpretations of the all of the animals on the carousel.

Upper Sandusky Head Start students ages 3-5 enjoy refreshments during the 5-star celebration at the Head Start open house Wednesday. The celebration included a star photobooth and star-themed crafts and games.

Upper Sandusky McDonald’s rolled out new ordering technology Monday that will allow customers to skip the line at the counter. Two new kiosks in the lobby allow up to four users at a time to customize and place orders and receive table service.

ATTICA — North Central Electric Cooperative (NCE) officially unveiled its community solar array in a ribbon-cutting ceremony Sept. 18. Members who are participating in the OurSolar program, along with community leaders and NCE board members gathered for the event.

Privately owned and operated, Surest Path Recovery Center of Bloomville is an adult, residential, inpatient rehab facility for women.

Jonathan Distel returned with his wife, April, from a volunteer trip to Texas a week and a half ago, but there is still work to be done. Distel, a co-owner of A.J.’s Heavenly Pizza, left for southern Texas on Sept. 9 with a truckful of supplies to help aid victims of Hurricane Harvey, a category 4 storm which devastated the region.

Volunteer Fire Department Chief Rodney Clinger had several announcements at Sycamore’s Village Council meeting on Tuesday night. Clinger kicked things off by stating the old ladder truck had been advertised for a week and Oct. 6 at 2 p.m. will be the deadline for taking bids on the truck.
