Jillian Yeater, BS, CNMT, RT(N)(ARRT), of Upper Sandusky, has been promoted to director of radiology, cardiology and wellness services at Wyandot Memorial Hospital. Yeater has worked in nuclear medicine at WMH since 2006.

FOREST — Matt Missey is an artist, but he doesn’t work with water colors or clay. His creations are tree sculptures. Over his career, Missey said, he has formed trees into images of wildlife, historical figures and lighthouses, but the piece he was putting the finishing touches on this week is unique.

Sycamore VFD reports problems with fire engine

SYCAMORE — Sycamore Volunteer Fire Chief Rodney Clinger reported problems with fire engine 20 during Tuesday’s village council meeting. Clinger said engine 20 has been out of service since Saturday morning following a run where oil was observed on the floor underneath the vehicle.

Mohawk BOE to seek bids for improvement projects

SYCAMORE — Mohawk Board of Education members on Tuesday approved a resolution to advertise for bids through request for proposal for capital improvement projects that include activity lot expansion, an interior playground upgrade and McCutchenville ball field work this upcoming summer.

Daily Chief in need of carriers

The Daily Chief-Union has an immediate need for motor route drivers and foot carriers. Delivery is Monday through Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings. Upper BOE honors honors top achievers

The Upper Sandusky Exempted Village School Board honored the district’s top winter sports athletes and toured South School during its regular meeting Monday evening at South. The board continued its new tradition of honoring students with major achievements, giving out certificates and pins to All-Ohio girls basketball player Abigail Fogle and wrestlers Noah Clary and Connor Johnston, state swim qualifier Abbey Wenger and coaches Brent Fahle, Jeff Winslow, Justin Richardson and Noah Blankenship.
