Donations help pay for new solar signs

Donations helped the Upper Sandusky Exempted Village School District get new school zone signs in front of the high school at about one-third of the cost a neighboring district just paid, Superintendent Laurie Vent said during Monday evening’s school board meeting.

Dog licenses due Jan. 31

The Wyandot County Auditor’s Office would like to remind residents that 2018 dog licenses now are on sale and must be purchased by Jan. 31 to avoid the late penalty charge. Licenses are required for all dogs 3 months of age and older and are $16 each.

Live nativity

Apostolic Gospel Church held a live nativity, “What A Wonderful Name It Is, The Name of Jesus” with music, narration and live animals at 6:30 p.m. Sunday outside the church on North Fifth Street Many members of the community attended the live nativity.

Speaker names applicants for 87th House district seat

COLUMBUS — Speaker of the Ohio House Clifford A. Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) Friday announced the group of applicants who met the deadline to be screened to fill the vacant 87th House District seat. The seat was vacated by then Ohio Rep. Wes Goodman (R. Cardington), who resigned following inappropriate sexual behavior in his state office.

Andrew H. Orr, Findlay, charged by the police with possession of an open beer in a motor vehicle, pretrial continued to Dec. 20. Dwight T. Hensley, Nevada, charged by the ODNR with trespassing in Killdeer Plains, pleaded no contest, found guilty.
