The Senior Depot in Carey was packed Monday for a lunch provided by Vicki Charlton from the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The Wyandot Council on Aging hosted Bingo afterwards, with patriotic prizes awarded to the winners.

Carey ends tax agreement with Cleveland

CAREY — On Monday, Carey Village Councilors approved the final reading of an ordinance authorizing the village administrator and/or village mayor to send notice terminating the agreement with the Central Collection Agency, Division of Taxation, the central collection of municipal income tax between the city of Cleveland and the village of Carey. It was passed as an emergency.

The “What’s Cookin’” recipe group met for its annual picnic Monday evening at the Upper Sandusky Community Library. Attendees brought their favorite picnic food, complete with recipes.
