Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Administrator Greg Lonsway submitted a letter of resignation Thursday to the Wyandot County Commissioners.

The Upper Sandusky Community Library is hoping to raise awareness about and expand upon its current homebound service. “If you can’t get out of your house to come to the library whether it’s age, injury, disability or convenience, our homebound volunteers will deliver to you,” Upper Sandusky Community Library Director Kathleen Whitt said.

The Rev. Elaine J. Clinger Sturtz recently completed her fifth book and this one has a special personal connection. “Life Lessons of a Lone Trooper” is about Sturtz’ late husband of 25 and a half years, David D. Sturtz, who died in September 2015.

Christopher Halasy, M.D., MBA, has opened a family medicine practice at Wyandot Memorial Hospital to care for patients of all ages. Dr. Halasy has extensive experience and most recently worked in a primary care clinic in Galion.

Certified Nurse Practitioner Robin Gottfried has joined Sycamore Medical Associates and is accepting new patients of all ages. Gottfried moved her practice from Upper Sandusky to Sycamore, where she joins Dr. Scott Cisar and Certified Nurse Practitioner Nikki Wolfe.

Upper Sandusky High School students have a new feature greeting them each morning in the commons near the school entrance. The Robert P. Lee Distinguished Alumni Award area was completed just over one week ago before the high school open house.
