Upper welcomes 4 new educators

New in school

The Upper Sandusky Exempted Village School District has introduced four new educators this year across all levels of the district from elementary to high school. The district’s new educators have experience ranging from first year to 18 years of previous experience, and their responsibilities range from principal to supervisor to teacher.

Upper man dies in crash

An Upper Sandusky man died following a single car accident Thursday afternoon in western Wyandot County. The Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call at approximately 12:57 p.m. Thursday about a crashed vehicle in a soy bean field on the 10000 block of CH 96.

Carey tables AMI ordinance

CAREY — Due to two councilmen who were absent due to unforeseen circumstances, Carey Village Council on Monday voted to table an ordinance to direct Village Administrator Roy Johnson to enter into a contract to finance and allow for the purchase and installation of the proposed Eaton Cooper automated meter reading system for water and electric meters.

Upper man seriously injured in crash

The Bucyrus Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a serious injury crash involving a commercial vehicle and motorcycle Wednesday morning near Upper Sandusky. The crash occurred at 6:18 a.m. on U.S. 23 at the intersection of CH 113 in southern Wyandot County.

Premier Senior Living gives promotion

NEW YORK — Premier Senior Living LLC has announced Carey Rhoades has been promoted to regional director of quality control. Rhoades has been a valuable member of Premier Senior Living for eight years as the executive director for Orchard Park Assisted Living.

The Upper Sandusky Street Department completed its improvement project on South Warpole Street on Tuesday evening. The road was tarred and chipped and was one of the primary road improvement projects budgeted by the city of Upper Sandusky for 2018.
