NEVADA — Mayor Harold Lambert said at Monday night’s council meeting, Nevada has an ordinance against nuisance animals but it has no ability to enforce it. The village has received multiple complaints recently, and Lambert had a copy of the 2008 ordinance available for council members to review.

CAREY — A week after more discussion was held regarding barriers placed on Blue Devil Parkway in Memorial Park, Carey Exempted Village School District Superintendent Michael Wank on Monday provided his thoughts on the school district’s stance on the topic.

An Upper Sandusky High School graduate is hoping he can spark residents of Wyandot County to help make a huge difference for at-risk youth in the community. Justin Swartz recently began the Wyandot County Mentoring Program. He was motivated to try something new after spending a decade working with children in need.

Coffee took center stage Thursday evening as Beca House owner Steve Jackson gave a presentation to a packed house at the Upper Sandusky Community Library. “I was worried there were only going to be five people here,” Jackson said. “But this was a nice surprise.”
