Nevada garage destroyed in fire

NEVADA — A garage structure in Nevada was lost in a fire Thursday afternoon. The Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office arrived on scene in the 300 block of North Garrett Street in Nevada, observing a detached garage that was on fire.

USHS One Acts set for Sunday

The tradition of the battling classes continues. The Upper Sandusky High School drama department will be presenting its Afternoon of One Acts at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the USHS Little Theater. Tickets are $7 at the door. The freshmen/first years will be presenting “The Internet is Distract — Oh Look a Kitten” by Ian McWethy under the direction of Abigail Davidson and Kate Gagnon.

Marion theater offering private classes

MARION — Marion Palace Theatre Executive Director Bev Ford has announced the Palace Academy of the Arts program has expanded to offer additional one-On-one private classes. Joining Academy Director and instructor Kristi Wink are experienced vocal instructors Matthew Downing and Jami Rawlins, along with dance instructor Chelsea Sims.

Major Crimes Unit releases stats for 2018

Detective Lt. Kerwin Wiseley of the Wyandot County Major Crimes Unit, a joint task force in cooperation with the Upper Sandusky Police Department, Carey Police Department and Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office formed by Wyandot County Sheriff Mike Hetzel, has released the statistics and accomplishments of the Major Crimes Unit for 2018.

Riverdale organizes

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Michelle Courtad will continue to lead the Riverdale Board of Education as its president in 2019. Courtad was elected during the board’s reorganziational meeting on Monday night. Derek Dailey will continue to serve the board as its vice president.
