A worker plowed the remnants of this weekend’s winter storm from sidewalks and parking spaces on South Sandusky Avenue on Monday morning. The city received nearly a foot of snow Saturday into early Sunday morning, causing church services to be canceled and businesses to close.

A Gahanna woman’s vehicle was a total loss Friday afternoon after it caught fire at a gas station in Upper Sandusky. The Upper Sandusky Fire Department received a 911 call at approximately 2:23 p.m. Friday stating a car was on fire at the Pilot gas station near the building, not the gasoline pumps.

The Wyandot Council on Aging held it’s annual Pizza Passports event Friday afternoon at Trinity Evangelical Church in Upper Sandusky. The event highlights the many trips available through the Council on Aging for the year.

After a contentious public meeting between Wyandot County residents and Ohio Department of Transportation officials concerning the closures of CH 50 and CH 121 at the U.S. 23/U.S. 30 intersections, the Wyandot County Commissioners voted unanimously to deny the state’s petition on Thursday afternoon at the Wyandot County Courthouse.

The Upper Sandusky Lions Club recently finished building a handicap ramp for the home of Melvin Dible, a Vietnam War veteran who lives in Upper Sandusky.
