Mohawk discusses Rover pipeline options SYCAMORE — The Mohawk Board of Education was given multiple options for what to do with the Rover Pipeline money Tuesday at its regularly scheduled meeting. The board heard from Mike Burns, a representative from Baird who spoke on investment and debt strategies. Health alliance plans for healthier community The Wyandot County Health Alliance met Tuesday at Wyandot Memorial Hospital to discuss updates for its plans to improve community health and well-being. Upper council considers sale of Waterworks Park Upper Sandusky City Council agreed on a minimum bid for the sale of Waterworks Park at its meeting Monday. The city has owned 12 of the acres of Waterworks Park since the early 1900s and it purchased 16 additional acres for $2,000 an acre in 1998. Read More

Carey awards bid for boulevard project CAREY — Carey Village Council on Monday approved a motion to award the bid for the Memorial Park Boulevard project to Hohenbrink Excavating Inc., of Findlay, for $142,202.80. Bids for the street project were opened March 5 in the council chambers. The village received four bids ranging as high as $208,000. Read More

Hospital reports recent increase in flu cases In the last two weeks, the middle of flu season, Wyandot Memorial Hospital has seen an increase in cases of Influenza. Valerie Schalk, who works with infection prevention at Wyandot Memorial Hospital, explained that there are two types of Influenza, “A” and “B,” and noted that every case the hospital has seen this season is Influenza A.
