The Carey FFA recently made a large donation of fruit to the Carey Food Pantry. This donation of about $500 worth of fruit will help 70 families have a healthy benefit over the holidays.

The Wyandot County U.S. Department of Agriculture Farm Service Agency announced that Rodney Phillips of Carey was elected to represent his local administrative area (LAA) during the recent county committee election. Donna Tschanen of Sycamore will serve as the first alternate.

Earlier this month, the Upper Sandusky FFA held its Greenhand ceremony. This ceremony honors first-year FFA members who have met the requirements to receive their Greenhand degree. This degree is the first of four degrees that can be earned in the FFA — chapter, state and American being the other three.

The following people have been nominated in Local Administrative Area 1 in Wyandot County to serve as a committee member. LAA No. 1 consists of Crawford, Ridge, Tymochtee and Sycamore townships.

One of the most beneficial Career Development Events that FFA students can be involved in is job interview. The job interview CDE prepares students for future career interviews.
