Invisible cattle fence is in testing stages COLUMBUS — Controlling where the cattle roam may soon get a whole lot easier. Conservation stewardship deadline is May 10 COLUMBUS — The next deadline for Conservation Stewardship Program applications to be considered for funding in fiscal year 2019 is May 10. Upper FFA competes in state CDEs This spring, 34 students from the Upper Sandusky FFA competed in the State Spring Career Development Event Contests. Upper Sandusky had seven different contest areas that students participated in: agronomy, equine management, general livestock, nature interpretation, poultry, wildlife management and dairy cattle. Chapter Degrees awarded The Chapter FFA Degree is the highest award an FFA chapter can bestow on its members. In order to receive the Chapter FFA Degree, members must earn a minimum of $150 or work 50 hours through their approved SAE program, complete 10 hours of documented community service, learn parliamentary procedure and participate in various FFA activities.
