ADA — Twenty-five junior and senior Upper Sandusky High School marketing education students recently competed in the DECA District 3 Fall Leadership Conference at Ohio Northern University. Fourteen of them won medals as top five finishers in their respective marketing events.

MARION — Beverly Young, Executive Director of the Marion Area Counseling Center, has announced her retirement after 40 years of service to the Marion Community. Young has served the counseling center and Marion community since 1977, delivering professional leadership, clinical counseling and specialized services to the clients of MACC and the people of Marion County.

FOSTORIA — Reineke Ford Inc. of Fostoria recently celebrated 50 years of partnership with Ford Motor Company. On Aug. 24, 1967, Mr. William F. Reineke, Sr. was welcomed into the Ford Motor Company in Fostoria, and Reineke Ford has been selling new Ford vehicles since that date.

Upper Sandusky McDonald’s rolled out new ordering technology Monday that will allow customers to skip the line at the counter. Two new kiosks in the lobby allow up to four users at a time to customize and place orders and receive table service.

ATTICA — North Central Electric Cooperative (NCE) officially unveiled its community solar array in a ribbon-cutting ceremony Sept. 18. Members who are participating in the OurSolar program, along with community leaders and NCE board members gathered for the event.

Dave Bastel stepped up to the No. 1 tee box just outside the clubhouse at Lincoln Hills Golf Club on Sunday with an 8-iron. The longtime club owner was the first to shoot on one of four new holes that were premiered during a special 90th anniversary tournament Sunday.

Beth Montgomery has been named the new assisted living director at Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky. Montgomery recently completed the Certified Executive for Assisted Living (CEAL) and has passed the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) Residential Care/Assisted Living Administrators Examination to earn the CEAL designation.

The Hancock Hardin Wyandot Putnam Community Action Commission is offering a Micro Business Development program for local entrepreneurs. The program consists of thirteen sessions held from 5:45-8:45 p.m. on Thursdays beginning Sept. 28, 2017.
