CAREY — A regular meeting of Carey Village Council scheduled for this evening has been postponed after the sudden death of Mayor Steve Smalley. Smalley died at 8:40 p.m. Friday at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, at the age of 56.

After 33 1/2 years of running his own joint, Ed Neumeister can kick his feet up. The longtime employee and owner of the NAPA Auto Parts store on South Sandusky Avenue is retired. His last day of work was Friday.
