COLUMBUS — May is National Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month and the Ohio State Highway Patrol is reminding motorcyclists to ride endorsed, trained and sober. Also, motorists are reminded they should be aware there will be an increase in motorcycles on the roadways with the warmer weather.

Kappa Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at the American Civil War Museum in Tiffin. The entrance fee is $5.

Amvets Post No. 777 will host its annual meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday The meeting will include nominations for post officers, and organizers are encouraging all Amvets members to attend.

CAREY — A representative from Sugar House Greenhouse & Floral will be at the Dorcas Carey Public Library at 6:30 p.m. May 16th for a program to show participants how to construct their own fairy gardens. Participants are asked to bring their own container with topsoil and any accessories for the garden.

FOREST — The Tree Town Festival is opening up the operations of the Greasy Spoon Folds Tent for any group or organization looking to raise funds for its cause. The organization, which can be non- or for-profit, will be responsible for preparing and serving food, taking money and clean-up of the pavilion area.

United Way of Wyandot County is partnering with the Upper Sandusky Area Chamber of Commerce to provided up to six scholarships for local high school students to attend the Leadercast event Friday at Trinity Evangelical United Mathodist Church.
