The Catholic Ladies of Columbia recently held its April meeting. President Barb Grasz called the meeting to order with 37 members present.

A large group of eighth-graders who have been selected as Royal Leaders at Wynford Local Schools gathers in the media center for a picture including winners from the 2015-16 academic year. About every two weeks, Royal Leaders are selected for displaying one of the habits from “Seven Habits of Highly Effective People,” a popular book by Stephen Covey.

The American Red Cross will host blood drives in Carey and Sycamore in early May. There will be a drive from noon to 6 p.m. May 9 at Parkview Assembly of God Church, 777 W. Findlay St., Carey.

ASHLAND — Tristan Reichelderfer, a 2015 graduate of Kenton High School, is a member of the pre-health professional club at Ashland University. Reichelderfer is majoring in biology.

TIFFIN — The Sisters of St. Marys will offer “Tools for Coping with Chronic Illness and Pain” from 10-11 a.m. May 7 at the St. Francis Spirituality Center, 2000 St. Francis Avenue, Tiffin. Doors open at 9:30 a.m.

The Wyandot County Senior Citizens Club recently held its monthly meeting and potluck dinner at the Senior Center in Upper Sandusky with 25 members present, including new members Ann and Wayne Leightey. President Madonna Meeker opened the meeting and welcomed everyone.

Seventh-grade students at Wynford Local Schools have been selected as Royal Leaders during the 2015-16 academic year.

The Upper Sandusky Community Library has a number of events scheduled for the month of May. The library board meeting is at 12:15 p.m. May 12. The meeting is open to the public.

Kesha Hitchcock, of Tiffin, is the mother of a girl, Kamira Nicole Grace Hitchcock. She was born at 7:43 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Wyandot Memorial Hospital. She weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces and was 20 inches long. The maternal grandmother is Lynelle Rife, of Tiffin.

Breanna Vanderpool and Paul Thompson, both of Forest, are the parents of a girl, Alaina Marie Thompson. She was born at 6:45 p.m. Monday, April 4, 2016 at Wyandot Memorial Hospital.
