FOREST — The 2016 Tree Town Festival, to be held July 8-18 in Gormley Park, Forest now is accepting applications for the festival royalty contests. There are three competitions: prince and princess, king and queen and festival baby.

CAREY — The Dorcas Carey Public Library will host a number of special events in addition to its regular activities throughout the month of May.

The 18th Wyandot County family fun fair was held on Saturday. About 200 children and their parents attended the event at Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church.

CRESTLINE — Crawford Park District naturalist Josh Dyer will host a program to investigate dandelions at 6 p.m. May 4 at Lowe-Volk Park, 2401 Ohio 598.
