BUCYRUS — Wynford High School recently released the names of students who were named to the honor roll for the fourth nine weeks of the 2015-16 school year. Students are listed by grade level. An asterisk indicates all A’s.

MAUMEE — The Andersons Inc. has awarded $78,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors living in communities in 19 states where the company has operations. As a part of The Andersons’ community commitment and support of education, the company awards a $500 scholarship to a senior who is selected by the principal at each respective school.

Leeth, Wright named to Ashland University spring dean’s list ASHLAND — Two local students have been named to the dean’s list at Ashland University for the spring semester.

The Upper Sandusky Emblem Club is sponsoring a collection drive to benefit women’s homeless shelters in northwest Ohio and is seeking donations. The Handbags for Hope project is being organized by Emblem Club president Stefeni Rowland.

SYCAMORE — The Mohawk Community Library will host a fitness class with Fierce Fitness by Shannon owner Shannon Mullholand at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Attendees are asked to meet at Veterans Memorial Park.

The Wyandot County Senior Citizens Club recently hosted its June meeting and potluck dinner at the Senior Center in Upper Sandusky with 22 members present. President Madonna Meeker opened the meeting, welcomed attendees and introduced two guests, Bonnie Graver and Jenny Luikart.

Another child has completed the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program at the Mohawk Community Library. Lily Roby, 5, a daughter of Jason and Stacie Roby, started the program Feb. 20, 2014 and was read 1,000 books by June 16 of this year.

HARPSTER — The public is invited to attend the 53rd Fourth of July observance at John Green Cemetery, near Harpster, at noon July 4. For this 53rd rededication celebration, Elizabeth “Liz” Barker will read the Declaration of Independence.

FOREST — The Forest-Jackson Public Library will host the Armstrong Air and Space Museum as part of its summer reading program at 10:30 a.m. June 28 at Forest Gormley Park. The program will be on astronaut fitness.

FINDLAY — The American Red Cross of Northwest Ohio, based in Findlay, has announced a schedule of safety classes set for this summer. Each year, more than 5 million people learn how to save a life in American Red Cross training classes, and area residents can join the ranks by taking a class in July.
