FINDLAY — The American Red Cross is sharing tips for staying safe while enjoying fireworks and other activities during the upcoming Fourth of July holiday weekend.

The 83rd annual Jacob Peter and Sarah Jane (Height) Bear family reunion took place June 18 at Salem United Methodist Church in Mifflin Township with 41 people in attendance. Dan Hoy gave the prayer before the potluck meal.

The Wyandot County Prostate Cancer Support Group will meet at 7 p.m. July 12 at 7 p.m. for an open forum on topics of interest to those in attendance. The meeting will be in the Bowman and Kirkland conference rooms on the lower level of Wyandot Memorial Hospital.

The next meeting of the Wyandot County Young Professionals is set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Wyandot County Fairgrounds, 10171 Ohio 53, and will include planning for the group’s major fundraiser, Wyanstock, on July 2. Those who are available to volunteer at Wyanstock are asked to attend the meeting, if possible.

TIFFIN — Classic Tiffin, the most recognizable glass pieces produced in Tiffin according to the Tiffin Glass Collectors Club, was the topic of the group’s recent monthly meeting. Ed Goshe moderated the program and shared recognizable features on a variety of pieces brought in by attendees and from museum archives.

Monica Boes, Courtney Collins, Lauren Fredritz, Zoe Garber, Shelby Kin and Juston Morter each have been awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Wyandot Memorial Hospital Foundation.

FINDLAY — The Marathon Petroleum Red Cross B*A*S*H, an annual fundraiser to benefit the North Central Ohio chapter of the American Red Cross, is scheduled for 6-11 a.m. July 29 on the grounds of the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts in Findlay.
