UF class of 1966 plans Veterans’ Honor Wall

FINDLAY — To celebrate its 50th reunion, the University of Findlay class of 1966 is seeking names of veterans who attended the university to be included on the Veterans’ Honor Wall in the UF Center for Student Life and College of Business, which is being constructed and is expected to open for the fall 2017 semester.

Youth summer camps continue at St. Francis

TIFFIN — St. Francis Community in Tiffin has announced several youth summer camps slated for July and August at the Franciscan Earth Literacy Center. The Amazing Animals summer camp for youth ages 5-10 years will take place from 8 a.m. to noon July 25-29.

Free family tent camping event slated

CRESTLINE — The Crawford Park District will offer free family tent camping beginning at 7 p.m. July 29 at Lowe-Volk Park, 2401 Ohio 598. Families are invited to come any time after 5 p.m. to pitch their tents around the pond at the park.

CRESTLINE — The Crawford Park District has announced a slate of upcoming events. The district’s quarterly history program, “Tellin’ Tales,” is slated for 2 p.m. July 23 at Lowe-Volk Park, 2401 Ohio 598, Crestline, and will focus on local drug stores.

Local artists needed for Bucyrus Fest

BUCYRUS — Entry forms are available beginning today through the start of the Bucyrus Bratwurst Festival for its 2016 art show. Forms are available at the Bucyrus Public Library, Bucyrus Visitors and Tourism Bureau, MB Subculture and the Bucyrus Area Chamber of Commerce.

The Village Gardeners Garden Club recently met with 12 guests, including members of the Friendship Garden Club of Union County. Speaker Mary Lee Minor, past president of the Ohio Association of Garden Clubs and a master gardener, presented a program on arranging flowers using plants from her yard and garden.

Special choir forming at Carey OLC Shrine

CAREY — The Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation invites area singers to join the 2016 Assumption Choir. The choir, along with a brass quintet, will lead music for the Vigil Mass of the Assumption at Shrine Park at 9:30 p.m. Aug. 14.
