CAREY — The Dorcas Carey Public Library has released its calendar of events for this month. Crazy Crafters Night is set to begin at 6 p.m. Jan. 9 at the library.

­For the 18th year in a row, First Citizens National Bank is presenting Wyandot Memorial Hospital’s Comedy Night to help with priority patient-related projects at WMH.

Jana and Matthew Lortz, of Carey, are the parents of a boy, Brayden Everett Lortz. He was born at 6:07 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 24, 2016 at Wyandot Memorial Hospital. He weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces and was 20 inches long. The maternal grandparents are Lee and Jacala Kemerley, Carey. The paternal grandparents are Mary and Matt Schwenning.

FOREST — In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the Forest-Jackson Public Library will accept donations through the month of January for the Wyandot County Humane Society. Needed items include wet and dry pet food, new or used sheets, blankets and towels, household cleaning supplies including paper towels, Windex and Lysol wipes and other general pet supplies.

TIFFIN — The Sisters of St. Francis campus has multiple events planned for January. Yoga will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday nights and from 5:15-6:15 p.m. Wednesdays at St. Francis Spirituality Center, 200 St. Francis Ave., Tiffin.

The Upper Sandusky Community Library has released its calendar of events for January. The library will be closed Monday in observance of the New Year’s Day holiday and Jan. 16 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

The Wyandot County area support group for caregivers of those with memory loss due to Alzheimer’s disease or other causes will continue to meet through 2017 on the third Tuesday of each month, beginning at noon Jan. 17 at Fairhaven Community, 850 Marseilles Ave.

TIFFIN — Sisters in Shelter has announced the dates for its next anti-human trafficking training series. The eight-week series begins Jan. 11 at 200 St. Francis Ave., Tiffin.
