FINDLAY — The Home Energy Assistance Program Winter Crisis Program was created to provide financial assistance one time per heating season to income-eligible households that are threatened with disconnection of their heating source, have service already disconnected, need to establish new service or transfer service or have less than a 25 percent supply of bulk fuel.

Eighth Wynford Junior High School students recently were recognized as Royal Leaders for December. Students are nominated by the teachers for displaying habits of highly effective people.

FINDLAY — The University of Findlay Concert-Chorale, which includes students and community members, is recruiting choristers for its April 2 spring concert featuring Gabriel Faure’s pieces, including “Requiem.” An audition is required to join the group, but no preparation is necessary.

John Stewart United Methodist Church will host a Christmas Eve worship service at 6 p.m. Saturday. Bells will play, along with an eight-hand piano piece. Pastors will perform a skit, “Misfit Angels,” before traveling to Forest UMC for an 8 p.m. service.
