BUCYRUS — The people of Bucyrus United Methodist Church will host an Ash Wednesday worship service at 7 p.m. March 1 at the worship center located at the corner of Walnut Street and Hopley Avenue in Bucyrus. Go and experience the significance of the holy day of turning hearts back over to God and the Ashes and Holy Communion.

The annual Wyandot County men’s Lenten luncheons will kick off Ash Wednesday, March 1 at First Lutheran Church, 601 N. Sandusky Ave., Upper Sandusky. The meal will be served at 12 p.m. and attendees will be dismissed by 1 p.m.

Brooke Steward, a local nurse with a Bachelor of Science in nursing from The Ohio State University, will be the guest speaker at a Parkinson’s Disease support meeting at 2 p.m. March 5 at Irv and Janice Woods’ home, 532 S. Sandusky Ave., Upper Sandusky.

The annual Lenten lunches for Wyandot County women will be from 12-1 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 318 W. Wyandot Ave., Upper Sandusky. A $4 donation is suggested.

FOREST — Forest-Jackson Public Library will host an antiques appraisal program at 6:30 p.m. March 9. Ann Stratton from Lima will verbally appraise a limit of two items per person.

Marion County Historical Society will present the 11th Annual “A Night at Heritage Hall” from 7-9 p.m. March 24-25. Guests will be night watchmen at the Heritage Hall Museum, 169 E. Church St., Marion, where they will discover that all the exhibits come to life after the sun sets.

Upper Sandusky Middle School has set a goal this school year to collect 100,000 box tops to raise $100,000 in a program that helps offset the cost for the school trip to Washington, D.C. Box Tops for Education is a program started by General Mills that helps communities provide students the tools needed for success by generating cash that can be used for whatever is needed most.
