Seniors on the go

Wyandot County Council on Aging’s “Seniors on the Go” recently returned from an overnight trip to Cincinnati and the Northern Kentucky area. Their first stop was the American Sign Museum in Cincinnati.

Ohio Dept of Public Safety awards grant to WyCo Health Dept

The Ohio Department of Public Safety’s Ohio Traffic Safety Office has awarded the Wyandot County Public Health Department $25,000 in federal traffic safety funding to conduct Safe Communities Grant Activities. Funding from the Safe Communities Grant is used to conduct education and awareness campaigns related to motorcycle safety, drinking and driving, seat belt usage and distracted driving.

Baked steak tix available

McCUTCHENVILLE — Trinity United Church of Christ is hosting a baked steak dinner from 5-7 p.m. Oct. 14 in McCutchenville. The menu includes baked steak, mashed potatoes, dressing, gravy, coleslaw, corn, rolls, butter and drinks.

Free Produce Friday continues Fri.

WHARTON — Open Door Resource Center and Wyandot County BRIDGES Out of Poverty Action Committee will host another Free Produce Friday on Oct. 13. Free produce is available from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the lot beside Wharton First Church of God, 100 W. Franklin St., Wharton.
