CASA having dance event

FREMONT — CASA of Seneca, Sandusky and Wyandot Counties presents its eighth Annual Sandusky County Stars Dancing for CASA fundraiser April 7 at The SAC at Terra State Community College, 2830 Napoleon Road, Building C, Fremont.

Humane Society: March 27, 2018

The following report was prepared and submitted by the Wyandot County Humane Society on Monday and is correct as of that date. Pets reported as missing since the last report that have not been found include a brindle spayed female Chihuahua mix, a black and white neutered male cat, a yellow and white male cat, a neutered male yellow cat, a tri-color spayed female beagle and a long hair buff-colored female cat.

WMH to expand urgent care hours

Wyandot Memorial Hospital is expanding the hours for UrgentCare starting April 2. The walk-in service for minor illnesses and injuries will be open from 1-7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Stoneburner to be honored with Rotary Service Above Self award

The Rotary Club of Upper Sandusky will honor Jan Stoneburner as the 2018 Service Above Self award winner at an event April 9 with a social hour beginning at 6 p.m. in the Elks Ballroom. The dinner is open to the public, and tickets are available for $15 at many local banks as well as the Wyandot Chamber of Commerce and Wyandot County Visitors Bureau office.

Chef to speak at What’s Cookin’

The What’s Cookin’ cookbook discussion group will meet at 6 p.m. March 26 at the Upper Sandusky Community Library. Thomas Smith, owner of Don Tomasso’s Pizza in Upper Sandusky, will share his experiences as executive chef at The Worthington Inn, and the group’s potluck meal will feature brunch dishes.

Riedlinger, Rettig set to be married

RAWSON — Lindsay Riedlinger and John Rettig, of Rawson, have announced their engagement and upcoming wedding. Riedlinger, a daughter of Dale and Carolyn Riedlinger, of Upper Sandusky, is a 2011 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School and a 2014 graduate of Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in animal science and a minor in agribusiness.

OLC bake sale set

CAREY — The Our Lady of Consolation Volunteer Bakery, founded by the late Father Paul Faroh, is preparing for its Palm Sunday weekend bake sale by making, along with its usual fare, hot cross buns, dinner rolls and Easter cookies. The bake sale is Saturday and Sunday.
