Tractor Supply taking apps for FFA youth scholarship

The Tractor Supply Company Mobile Fair Tour is looking for Ohio 4-H and FFA youth who showcase what it means to be a great neighbor. Originating last year, the Great Neighbor essay contest is an experiential component of the retailer’s Mobile Fair Tour, a 24-stop journey across the United States that will begin its route June 1 in Kentucky and concludes Nov. 10 in Nevada.

Amalie and Jacob Rowland, of Delaware, are the parents of a boy. Rhett Landry Rowland was born at 5:41 a.m. Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Riverside Hospital, Columbus. He was 18.1 inches long and weighed 5 pounds, 13 ounces. The maternal grandparents are Richard and Cheryl Bayless, of Prospect. The paternal grandparents are Dale and Judy Rowland, of Marion.

Patrol: Don’t drive distracted

BUCYRUS — April is National Distracted Driving Awareness Month, and the Bucyrus Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is reminding drivers to keep their eyes and focus on the roadway while driving. Last year, 13,997 crashes in Ohio had a reported distraction, resulting in 51 fatal crashes.

The following report was prepared and submitted by the Wyandot County Humane Society on Monday and is correct as of that date. Pets reported as missing since the last report that have not been found include a black and white neutered male elkhound, a white female Lab, a male orange cat, a black and brown male Rottweiler-cane Corso mix, a young female apricot color golden retriever-poodle mix and a white and black spotted mini pig.
