BVH achieves straight A’s again

FINDLAY — Blanchard Valley Hospital, a division of Blanchard Valley Health System, achieved straight A’s for the ninth consecutive time since October 2014 in The Leapfrog Group’s Fall 2018 Hospital Safety Grade. Leapfrog assigns an A, B, C, D or F grade to hospitals across the country based on how safe they are for patients.

Fairhaven receives highest rating

United Church Homes, an industry leader in senior living care, announced its Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky achieved the highest safety and quality performance measures from the Ohio Department of Health for the second year in a row.

St. Peter School celebrated the tradition of All Saints Day on Nov. 1. Third-grade students, under the direction of their teacher, Anna Massara, dressed up as saints and shared their story with the school and parishioners.

Patrol encourages holiday traffic safety

BUCYRUS — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is reminding everyone to buckle up this upcoming holiday season and continue to do so throughout the new year. In the last two years, 1,142 people who were not wearing an available safety belt were killed in crashes.

Link announces events

CAREY — The Link, 112 E. Findlay St., Carey, has announced its November events. A documentary discussion is 7 p.m. Nov. 11. Guests may bring an idea for a short online video clip to watch and discuss with the group. Popcorn will be provided.

Grief Journey class slated

The last in the series of Grief Journey classes led by the Rev. Elanie J. Clinger Sturtz is Nov. 13 at the Senior Connections, 124 S. Sandusky Ave., Upper Sandusky. There will be two sessions, 1:30 or 6:30 p.m.
