Tenebrae service set for Friday BUCYRUS — The Bucyrus Ministerial Fellowship is hosting a traditional Tenebrae service for the annual community Good Friday service at 7 p.m. Friday at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 120 S. Lane St., Bucyrus. Tenebrae, Latin for “darkness,” is an ancient Good Friday service that involves the gradual extinguishing of candles, symbolizing the approaching darkness of Jesus’ death and of hopelessness in the world without God.
