The Mohawk Community Library was a recipient of a $2,044 grant from the North Central Electric Cooperative People Fund used to revitalize the children’s area in the library.

BUCYRUS — Everyone is invited to join the celebration of Holy Week, the week before Easter, at Bucyrus United Methodist Church, 227 S. Walnut St., Bucyrus. Services on Palm Sunday, March 25, are at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. and The Touch at 2 p.m.

Tenebrae service set for Friday

BUCYRUS — The Bucyrus Ministerial Fellowship is hosting a traditional Tenebrae service for the annual community Good Friday service at 7 p.m. Friday at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 120 S. Lane St., Bucyrus. Tenebrae, Latin for “darkness,” is an ancient Good Friday service that involves the gradual extinguishing of candles, symbolizing the approaching darkness of Jesus’ death and of hopelessness in the world without God.

Angeline preschool gets 5-star rating

In recognition of a commitment to quality and an ongoing dedication to the learning and development of children, Angeline School’s Preschool program has received a Five-Star Step Up To Quality Award from the state of Ohio. Angeline Preschool, operated by the Wyandot County Board of Developmental Disabilities, is an integrated preschool program serving children with disabilities side-by-side with students who are typically developing peer role models.

BVH named top 100 hospital

FINDLAY — Blanchard Valley Hospital once again has been named one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals by IBM Watson HealthTM. This is the sixth time the organization has been recognized with this honor.

Do not allow underage drinking

The Wyandot County Public Health has joined the Prevention Action Alliance to share the message “Parents who host lose the most: Don’t be a party to teenage drinking.” Each day, approximately 8,000 youth across the nation will take their first drink of alcohol.
