SYCAMORE — The Mohawk Lioness Club will hold a “Quarter Auction” March 31 at the Sycamore Community Center, 3498 Ohio 103, Sycamore. Doors will open at 4 p.m. so the merchandise may be viewed with the auction beginning at 5 p.m.

Parents and children ages birth through preschool are invited to attend the Dorcas Carey Public Library’s new interactive program Fun with Littles. Attendees will read a story, have a snack and complete a game and motor skill activity to go along with the session’s theme.

Ohio state representatives Riordan McClain and Jim Reineke of Ohio Districts 87 and 88 met with commissioners from Crawford, Union, Morrow, Seneca and Wyandot counties Monday at the County Commissioners Association briefing in Marion.

Ash Wednesday kicked off the 2019 Lenten season and the annual Men’s Lenten Luncheons at First Evangelical Lutheran Church. This year there are several great speakers on tap with community-minded topics.

Lenton luncheons for Wyandot County women will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, located at 318 W. Wyandot Ave., Upper Sandusky. The luncheons will be 12-1 p.m.

BUCYRUS — Wynford Local School District’s Annual Community Luncheon is 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. April 7 at the high school cafeteria. All Wynford residents, employees, graduates and alumni of Wynford, Holmes Liberty, Lykens, Mount Zion and Nevada, as well as supporters of Wynford Schools are invited.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — The Riverdale Community Pancake Breakfast is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday in the Riverdale High School cafeteria. Hosted by the Riverdale Community Lion’s Club, the annual pancake and sausage breakfast raises money for Riverdale school projects.

The Ohio Department of Transportation has released an update regarding snow and ice operations on state highways within Wyandot County from November through Feb. 27. In Wyandot County, ODOT has driven 102,907 miles over 489 lane miles, using 72,505 gallons of de-icer and 5,408 tons of salt at a total cost of $911,282.
