Wynford grad named state wildlife officer

FINDLAY — Brock Williamson, 23, of Bucyrus, will be assigned as the new state wildlife officer in Van Wert County, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife. Officer Williamson is one of 10 new wildlife officer cadets who have been undergoing extensive training and were sworn in as commissioned state wildlife officers during ceremonies March 15 in Columbus.

Carey library showing film Monday

CAREY — The Dorcas Carey Public Library will be be showing a movie at 3:30 p.m. Monday. Come enjoy this new movie release, “Ralph Breaks the Internet,” the second installment of Disney’s “Wreck It Ralph” series about video game characters Ralph and Vanellope who embark on an adventure inside the internet to find a spare part to fix a video game.

Woods to be honored by Upper Rotary

Upper Sandusky’s Janice Woods is the 2019 recipient of the Service Above Self award. Woods will be honored at the Service Above Self Award Dinner at 7 p.m. March 25 at the Elks Ballroom in Upper Sandusky. Doors open at 6 p.m. and dinner is at 6:30 p.m.

Power of the Pen

Our Lady of Consolation School seventh grader Lydia Gery recently received recognition at the Power of the Pen regional competition at Lourdes University in Sylvania for her Best of Round paper at district competition in Tiffin.
