Vanguard honored as America’s top SkillsUSA program FREMONT — The Vanguard Tech Center, in Fremont, earned Model of Excellence for workplace skills the Vanguard Sentinel Career & Technology Centers announced recently. SkillsUSA named 24 SkillsUSA chapters as Models of Excellence for 2019. At the top level of SkillsUSA’s Chapter Excellence Program, these schools are recognized for the exceptional integration and application of personal, workplace and technical skills in their SkillsUSA chapter activities. Area campus notes: May 23, 2019 MARION — Marion Technical College awarded 470 degrees and certificates to 399 students May 11 at the Marion Palace Theatre. These graduates ranged in age from 17 years old to 61 years old. They came from 24 Ohio counties and three states. They include nine military veterans and 10 high school students who received associate’s degrees at no cost to them or their families before they graduated from high school. Read More
