The Wyandot Memorial Hospital Guild is planning a silent auction at its booth in the Merchants’ Building at the Wyandot County Fair. The auction will conclude at 3 p.m. Sept. 15, and proceeds will benefit special projects at the hospital.

Wyandot County residents can access health services on Wyandot On Wheels in their nearby villages throughout August. The mobile health services bus will be at the following locations:

MARION — The 2019 Miss and Ms. Marion Popcorn Festival Pageant will be held at 7 p.m. Aug. 3, at the River Valley High School auditorium in Marion. Tickets are $10 each at the door, children 12 and under will be $5 each.

FINDLAY — Changes coming to USDA Rural Development’s single family housing loan programs will help streamline the loan application process for low and very-low income Ohioans considering rural homeownership.

FOREST — An alien autopsy program will be presented by the Forest-Jackson Public Library at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6. Join the library at the new church building in downtown Wharton to learn about UFO’s and perform an autopsy on an alien.

FOREST — Come to the Forest-Jackson Public Library July 29 through Aug. 3 for a marble hunt. The library will hide five galaxy marbles in the kid’s book section each day. Those who find one may turn it in at the desk for a prize.

A Friends of the Library book sale is 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 1, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Aug. 2 and 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Aug. 3. Books, DVDs and audiobooks for all ages are available for bargain prices at the annual Friends of the Library book sale at USCL. An exclusive sneak preview of the sale is available for Friends of the Library members Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. Those interested in becoming an FOL member may enquire at the front desk.

Children in preschool through fifth grade are welcome to join the Upper Sandusky Community Library’s annual coloring contest.
