BVH named top hospital

FINDLAY — Blanchard Valley Hospital has announced it has been named one of Becker’s Hospital Review’s “100 Great Community Hospitals” in the United States. This is the fourth time that the organization has received this distinction.

Upper natives elected presidents of UF clubs

Upper natives elected presidents of UF clubs FINDLAY — A pair of Upper Sandusky native students were elected presidents of student groups at the University of Findlay for the 2018-19 school year. Claire Osborne was elected president of Phi Alpha Eta Theta for social work. Nicholas Reid was elected president of the Pharmacy Student Leadership Council.

Fish fry set for Friday

FOREST — The McVitty VFW Post 1182 and the American Legion post 259, of Forest, will hold the next monthly fish fry from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the Post, Meals are all- you-can-eat. Tickets may be purchased at the door for a $9 donation. Carry-out is also available.
