HEAP provides assistance with heating costs FINDLAY — The Hancock Hardin Wyandot Putnam Community Action Commission’s HEAP 2019 Winter Crisis Program began Nov. 1 and continues through March 31 — as long as funds remain available. This program was created to provide financial assistance, one time per heating season, to income eligible households who are threatened with disconnection of their heating source, have service already disconnected, need to establish new service, seek to transfer service or have less than a 25 percent supply of bulk fuel. Fairhaven uses grant for transportation A $2,000 grant from the Wyandot County Community Foundation will help Fairhaven Community with transportation services for residents. Fairhaven currently has a 16-passenger bus and wheelchair-accessible van used to take residents to medical appointments and on activities and trips that help them stay actively engaged in the community.
