Women’s Lenten luncheons continuing

Lenten luncheons for Wyandot County women will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, located at 318 W. Wyandot Ave., Upper Sandusky. The luncheons will be noon to 1 p.m. A $4 donation is suggested and a nursery will be provided. Mothers are asked to feed their children before they come.

New tech allows Blanchard Valley Health System to improve scans for parkinsonian syndromes

FINDLAY — Blanchard Valley Health System has added advanced technology that will differentiate between essential tremor and parkinsonian syndromes, among other conditions. DaTscan is a radioactive injection into the patient’s bloodstream to help take pictures of areas of the brain with a special camera called a single-photon emission computed tomography camera.

FREMONT — Mohawk student Ericka Hummel was among Sentinel Career and Technology Center’s first-place finishers in the Educators Rising state competition this weekend at Capital University in Columbus, qualifying her for the national competition in Dallas.

The Knights of Columbus held its annual all-you-can eat pancake and sausage breakfast during the Catholic Schools Week open house at St. Peter School. The proceeds of the breakfast were donated to the school.

Turkey hunt youth draw held March 23

FINDLAY — A special drawing for youth interested in turkey hunting will be held March 23 at the Lake La Su An Wildlife Area headquarters, 9455 County Road R, Pioneer, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Youth age 17 and younger may participate.
