Wyandot County Home Health celebrating 50 years with open house

Wyandot County Home Health is celebrating 50 years of service in the local community with an open house from 2-4 p.m. Thursday at 210 N. Sandusky Ave. in Upper Sandusky. As it celebrates a half-century of service, Wyandot County Home Health also has been named among the top 25 percent of home health agencies in the United States by the ABILITY Network and DecisionHealth.

County Economic Development Office has annual dinner

CAREY — The Wyandot County Office of Economic Development celebrated its most productive year during its annual dinner Monday at Dance on Vance in Carey. The year included a record five business expansion projects; the office also helped establish a community reinvestment area in Sycamore, reinvigorated the Columbus-Toledo Midway Industrial Park in Upper Sandusky, partnered to present the first small business and entrepreneur development fair and hosted a regional JobsOhio network meeting.

Area seniors get free consultations on Medicare options

The Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program, a division of the Ohio Department of Insurance, offered free Medicare checkups for registered Wyandot County residents at Senior Connection on Thursday. Wyandot County Council on Aging Director Amy Gardner said enough people registered for every half-hour appointment slot from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday to be filled for two OSHIIP representatives who visited the county.
